Driveways
For driveways, you want a crushed stone, like our ⅜” Bluestone. The angular edges of the bluestone will create much better compaction than a round stone. Its long-term stability means you won’t have to worry much about your gravel wandering off. Plus, it looks great!
Drainage Bedding
For drainage projects, you want something that allows easy consistent waterflow. We recommend our ⅜” Riverbed. It doesn’t contain fines, which pose a risk for clogging pipe perforations, and its rounder edges lessen the risk of pipe punctures. The natural tones blend well with landscaping.
Edging and Borders
Around your gardens and walkways, we recommend 1” Riverbed. The larger stones give you a very clear border. The large size makes it uncomfortable to walk on, but the round edges make it safe. The size and heft make it a good barrier to keep other materials where they are supposed to be.
